VISA INFORMATION



PLEASE NOTE:

  • THE EMBASSY COULD ONLY ISSUE UP TO 60 DAYS VISIT VISA.
  • AFTER SUBMITTING THE VISA FORM ONLINE, APPLICANTS MUST COME IN PERSON TO SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS OR MAIL THEM BY POST
  • General Visa Requirement :
    1. Original Passport (Passport must be valid minimum 6 months on the date of entry into Indonesia) with at least two blank pages
    2. Visa application form must be fully completed and signed in the corresponding blanks
    3. One photo is to be attached: The photo must have a passport format, full-face capture and a light background. the photo must be recently taken
    4. Copy of Residence Permit in UK / Ireland (only for those who are not a UK/Ireland nationals)
    5. Proof of sufficient means of subsistence during the intended stay in Indonesia ( ex : Bank Statement) with minimum of amount of £1000
    6. Roundtrip reservation or itinerary with dates and flight number specifying entry and exit to Indonesia
    7. Proof of accommodation for the whole duration of the Intended stay in Indonesia.
    8. To return the passport by post, a Self Addressed Special delivery Envelope (post information)

    • Applicant must enter Indonesia 3 months from the date of issue the visa
    • For safety and guaranteed delivery of your documents, the Embassy recommends the use of special delivery envelope
    • The Royal Mail will not guarantee the delivery of your documents on the next day delivery if you are using first class mail. This will potentially delay the processing of your documents at the Embassy
    Notes for Travel Document Holder:

    Based on the circular note from the Directorate General of the Immigration of the Republic of Indonesia number IMI-1012.UM 01.01 the year of 2017 :

    1. The Holder of an emergency travel document or Convention 1951 Travel Document must apply visa before entering Indonesia. The said travel document must be valid at least 12 month from the date of entry.
    2. The Embassy has no authorization to issue any visa for travel document holders.
    3. Travel document holders wishing to Indonesia and seeking for sponsorship can contact the Directorate of Immigration c.q. Sub Directorate Visa in the Directorate General of Immigration, Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia in Jakarta to get their approval (http://www.imigrasi.go.id/index.php/en/)
    4. After obtaining the said approval as in point (3), the travel document holder must fill in the application form online at https://consular.indonesianembassy.org.uk/ and submit all the required documents at the Embassy.

    Based on the Immigration circular letter No. IMI.2-UM.01.01-2.1383, dated 03 Agustus 2018, only full British citizens are entitled to visa waive (visa-free visit) and visa on arrival. The following British citizens should apply for a visa before travelling to Indonesia:

    According to the Presidential Regulation No. 69 Year 2015 on Visa-Free Short-Visit, certain countries do not require a visa to enter Indonesia for a short visit of up to 30 (thirty) days. For detail information please visit link

    Nationals of certain countries can apply for visa on Arrival at the designated Airports/Seaports in Indonesia for a maximum visit of 30 days and can be extended for another 30 days at the Imigration Office. For detail information please visit link

    This visa is given by the Indonesian Embassy to applicants visiting Indonesia for normal business activities (including attending a conference/seminar) which do not involve taking up employment or receiving any payments whilst in Indonesia. For details information please visit link

    This visa is issued by the Indonesian Embassy to applicants who are going to Indonesia for a social/cultural visit, such as visiting relatives/friends; social organizations; exchange visits between educational institutions and attending study and training programme in Indonesia.     This visa is given to applicants whose purpose of visit is to take up employment. For detail information please visit link

    This visa is also call a Temporary Stay Permit and is issued to applicants whose purpose of visit is to stay in Indonesia for a limited period of time. For detail information please visit link

    All foreign researchers doing research activities in Indonesia must obtain an official permit from the Indonesian authority in advanced, i.e. the Indonesia Ministry of Research and Technology (RISTEK) before applying for the visa. For detail information please visit link

    Nationals of countries not included in the list of the 169 countries that are eligible for Visa-Free visits or those who are planning to visit Indonesia for more than 30 days, must have a visa to enter Indonesia and should submit their application accordingly.     All visa applications to the Indonesian Embassy in London from nationals of the following countries need an approval from Immigration Office in Indonesia before travelling:
